SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS
CUSTOMER PROFILE: Parry Sound, Ontario
# POWERWALLS: 3!
USE CASES: Load shifting and backup.
1) Load shifting: allows this family to store energy into the Powerwalls when prices are low to use when prices are high.
2) Backup: There is a 100 amp backup panel which houses all the essential electrical loads this family has chosen. The 3 Powerwalls backup these loads should there be a power outage.
SOLAR: No
Our customers have chosen to stand them separately so all 3 can be seen instead of burying them one behind the other.
Tesla provides a stacking kit that allows you to stack up to 3 Powerwalls together. Up to 10 Powerwalls can be integrated into a property. Stacking helps reduce the amount of floor space required. If the Powerwalls were stacked, they would look like slices of bread and each slice is touching each other.
If you have wall space, Powerwall can also be wall-mounted. When wall-mounted, they cannot be stacked.
Here is what the 100 amp backup panel (top left box) looks like next to the main electrical panel (top right box). The grey box on the bottom is the Backup Gateway. This allows you to receive online updates for your Powerwall and to connect to the Tesla Motors app to monitor and control your Powerwall(s).
