SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS
Customer Profile:  Property is in the suburbs with a large footprint.  It includes a residential home as well as a building where the owners run their graphic design business Big Pixel Inc.  Both the residence and office have solar.  The office has a custom engineered racking system to provide passive solar heating using an awning system above the south-facing windows.  The residence has rooftop solar.

Customer is still grid-connected and imports electricity from the utility.  

Why did the customer decide on Powerwall?  They are not connected to the municipal water grid, so in the event of an outage, gas generators were required to use their pump system.  With Powerwall, they have grid-independence if required and also backup capabilities.

USE CASES: 

Backup - Partial home backup was selected - the following electrical loads are connected to the Powerwalls:  sump pumps, well pumps, and  other critical loads panel in the home including computers, lights and outlets on the main floor and master bedroom.

Load Shifting - not applicable

Maximizing Solar - The residential solar system and Powerwall system are integrated; customer can store excess solar for use at night


SOLAR:
New system on the home - 8.4 kW of solar panels + 7.6 kW inverter.  Full online monitoring installed to enable monitoring of the solar system separate from the Powerwall system.

New solar system on the office - 5.4 kW of solar panels + 5.0 kW inverter
